Kandangan, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Village supervisory non-commissioned officers (Babinsa) of Military Rayon Command (Koramil) 1003-06 together with Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) Banjarmasin students who are on community service program provides a short training of organic compost making to local farmers.


The Commander of Koramil (Danramil) Captain Inf Haryadi Suprapto in said this activity was commissioned by 1003 Kandangan District Military Commander Lieutenant Colonel Inf Suhardi Aji Sriwijayanto through Koramil 1003-06 Simpur to implement Social Communication (Komsos) with the targeted community.

"The training was conducted in collaboration with students of ULM's Faculty of Agriculture to manufacture organic compost fertilizer, and materials are of environmentally friendly and economic value," he said in Kandangan on Monday (23/7).

By making organic fertilizer, farmers are expected to limit the use of pesticides, and increase their income. While basic materials can be obtained easily around and the training add insight and expertise for farmers and the community.

The fertilizer material consists of straw and staple banana tree, then mixing the compost with trichoderma according to the dosage as well as the introduction of Degister of Dispera KPLH HSS.
 
Then fermented the enumeration results by using EM4 or bacteria litter crushers mixed with sugar as needed at a dose of five kilograms of approximately 10 grams, then stirred and mixed and allowed to stand for three weeks with closed conditions.
