Pelaihari, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Vice Regent of Tanah Laut H Sukamta said this year the South Kalimantan Provincial Government declared the planting of 20 thousand mangrove trees of api-api type on the coast of Pagatan Besar Village, Takisung Subdistrict.


"The mangrove planting will be with the farmers and local communities," said H Sukamta in Pelaihari on Saturday.

According to him, the Government of Tanah Laut welcomed the planting of 20 thousand stems of the mangrove.
   
Tanah Laut Government together with South Kalimantan Government, he said, continue to develop mangrove conservation as an effort to save the environment.

In addition, he explained, the existence of mangrove forests as a means of tourism for the community.

He said the planting of mangrove in order to support the green revolution movement and conservation of marine resources, coastal, and small islands.
      
The declaration, he explained, is directly by South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Noor.
     
Separately, South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Noor invites all levels of society to succeed the green revolution movement as an effort to conserve the ecosystem.
    
"Let us succeed the green revolution movement and move to plant trees," he pleaded.

Then, he said, the trees that have been planted should be maintained, so it can grow and develop well. "Mangrove that we plant in this land will benefit our children and grandchildren later," he said.
