Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - 300 participants of Defend Country Existence (BETA) Banua I 2018 who have been trained in Infantry Battalion (Yonif) 623/Bhakti Wira Utama ended their training Wednesday (11/7) night. The BETA alumni are reminded they must be one soul and can keep good name of Korem (Provincial Military Command) 101/Antasari.


"Whatever form you should now be one soul and have the same vision and mission to defend the country and do the best for the nation," said 101 Antasari Provincial Military Commander Colonel Inf Yudianto Putrajaya.

To the youths who came from 13 districts and cities in South Kalimantan, he advised them to keep the good name of individual and good name of the organization, including the good name of South Kalimantan Provincial Government.

"Members of BETA are the Korem and Kodim partners, so all actions will continue to carry the name of the TNI and behavior and deeds should be properly guarded," he stressed.

Training to become a member of BETA, according to Putra, is an opportunity for participants to change the character and it has been obtained after the first batch officially closed.

While Head of South Kalimantan DPRD Burhanuddin who attended the closing ceremony of BETA training is optimistic BETA members can be empowered in
various job sectors.

"We hope private companies or others can accept them to work according to their own capabilities. BETA member certainly useful for the our area while also suppressing the public's disease which is often done by thugs and unemployment," ke said.

In training for three days from 9 to 11 July 2018 BETA members have been equipped with knowledge, skills, good personality and character and spirit and awareness of defending the country.

They were trained by the best soldiers who were commanded by Yonif 623BWU Commander Lieutenant Colonel Inf Roy Fahrul Rozi. BETA members were trainedphysical and non physical to change their attitudes for the better; discipline and full of responsibility.
