Rantau, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - PT Kharisma Alam Persada (KAP) and PT Platindo Agro Subur (PAS) conducted a roll call of forest and land fire disaster (karhutla) preparedness in North Candi Laras (CLU) and South Candi Laras (CLS), Tapin, Wednesday (9/5).
The activities in Bariang B Village, CLS Sub-district, was attended by Acting Regent Gusti Syahyar, Head of Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Nordin, CLS Subdistrict Head M Lotfhi, CLU Subdistrict Head Parianata and all leader consultative forum of the two subdistricts.
As a ceremony inspector, acting regent invited the whole community to always be alert and ready to face forest and land fire in their respective areas.
"We have entered the dry season, so we need to prepare for karhutla," he said in front of all BPK and fire control volunteers CLU and CLS sub-district.
He said that forest and land fires would have a negative impact on the health and disruption of land, river and air traffic.
