Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Electrical systems in South and Central Kalimantan are recovering after a transmission interruption causing power outages in the two provinces.

Deputy Manager of Law and Public Relations PT PLN for South and Central Kalimantan Yusfiansyah said the recovery of the electrical system occurred gradually since Wednesday afternoon.

"The recovery keeps going since Wednesday at around 16:00 pm. The entire substation (GI) and power plant have gradually been operating normally," he said.

Some large power plants such as steam-fueled power plant (PLTU) Pulang Pisau, hydro-power plant Ir PM Noor, gas engine power plant (PLTMG) Bangkanai, diesel power station (PLTD) and gas-fueled power plant (PLTG) Trisakti have been operating and synchronized to the system.

"The power supply from the five power plants is already synchronous in the electrical system, while the PLTU Asam-Asam units 1 and 4 are also in operation," he said.

Earlier on Tuesday (3/4) night, there was a disruption of the transmission of extra-high voltage power lines (SUTT) 150-kiloVolt (kV) between GI Seberang Barito Banjarmasin and GI SelatKuala Kapuas.

The disturbance caused by lightning strikes around 22:29 pm resulted in several generators out of the system, thus power outages occurred in South and Central Kalimantan.
