Amuntai, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Fisheries AgencyNorth Hulu Sungai Utara, South Kalimantan, prepares fishery tour village as a tourist destination.

Head of Fishery Cultivation Jumaidi in Amuntai on Wednesday said the concept is inspired from a similar location in Java Island, where restaurants are available in a beautifully managed aquaculture area, available for fishing, water tourism, floating duck breeding, and beautified with crops.

"The concept may be similar to Bincau tourist sites in Martapura where the restaurant built in the middle of the fish farming location," said Jumaidi, who mentioned the location are in the village of Pulau Tambak and Banyu Hirang, South Amuntai Subdistrict.

This fishery tour village will be worked together with relevant agencies to support such as Agriculture Agency, Public Works, Tourism Agency, and Fisheries.

This fishery tour village program is part of the five tourism destinations developed by the Youth, Sports and Tourism Agency.

"God willing, the budget will be proposed in 2018 revised local budget (APBD-P) with the amount of Rp395 million more, not including the construction of guard house Rp50 million, and the construction of parking lots by the Public Works and Transportation Agency," he explained.

Jumaidi said the fishing village will be managed by village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) of Pulau Tambak and Banyu Hirang which will be assisted by the village Family Welfare Movement (TP PKK) and a group of fish farmers.

He said fishery tourism village also supports tourism development considering that HSU as the largest swamp fish producer in South Kalimantan certainly offers the attraction for fish culinary.
