Head of ASDP Batulicin Branch Yudhi Yanuar through Business Manager Marsadik here on Saturday said the opening of the Banjarmasin-Jakarta route is the order of the Director General of PT ASDP.

"The consideration to open the route is to increase the services in the field of shipping to where that has no route," he said.

It is planned that in one week there will be two voyages, he said, but is still under review.

If the number of passengers meets the standard of departure, then the director general will decide every month there will be eight times the Banjarmasin-Jakarta round trip (PP).

PT ASDP has prepared one ship, KMP Feryndo V, which has a capacity of 1,000-1,800 passengers, and 20-50 units of two-wheeled and four wheels vehicles.

According to him, with the opening of the new route, many parties will take benefit. Some of them entrepreneurs have been sending goods from Jakarta to Kalimantan must pass through the Tanjung Perak Seaport of Surabaya will be able to save operational costs, because the ship from Jakarta to Banjarmasin and vice versa do not need transit to Surabaya.
