S Kalimantan Supports Adventure to Promote Tourism

Rantau, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Government of South Kalimantan supports the development and promotion of tourism through adventure activities that testing guts in the rough terrain. 

Acting Regent Tapin Gusti Syahyar in Rantau on Monday said the provincial government strongly supports the holding of events in the region, such as grass track at Balipat Circuit, Tapin.

"The championship as it was held some time ago, became one of the potential to promote the region, because the participants come from various areas of Kalimantan, even outside Kalimantan," he said.

In addition to being a promotional event of tourism, he said, adventure activities become one proof of solidity togetherness of the younger generation.

"I am proud of work of young people who pioneered this activity and continue to develop positive talents and skills to support government programs, especially in the field of sports achievement," he said.

Previously, grass track championship at Balipat Circuit, Binuang, Tapin, attended by about 3,000 participants. Adventure activities for guts test and strategy to conquer the heavy field in the 2018 Hayau Tarus event held by Monters Adventure Club Binuang.

Participants not only from South Kalimantan but also from West Java, East Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, even from the island of Sumatra also enliven the prestigious championship.

Gusti Syahyar revealed, South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor highly appreciate adventure activities.

"This activity is a means to bring each other together, in addition to channeling positive hobbies," he said.
