Paringin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Polylab Ethanol liquid, suspected to be the cause of death of two students and dozens more have to get treatment at the Balangan District Hospitals, South Kalimantan, causes kidney failure and heart function. 

Director of Balangan District Hospital Dr. Ferry here on Tuesday revealed one of the dead victim, MN (17), had been subjected to renal failure. 

"Indeed, the first dead victim WHY (21) received a similar effect reaction, but no one revealed what he was consuming, He was just said vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, dark vision and so on," he told. 

Then on the second victim, the patient has been damaged by the kidneys, stomach, intestines, and other parts that the fluid passes on the organs of the body. 

Other patients said they felt sick as if the internal organs were burning or hot. 

"If it has entered the blood, either through the body organs that are injured because of the effect, then obviously the fluid affects heart function, even able to make the heart stop," he explained. 

Alcohol or Ethanol or the like is not appropriate for consumption, let alone in excess without proper dose and dosage from the health center. 

There are even certain rules on alcoholic beverages that are sold, so it is not that easy to make every kind of ethanol or alcohol, even the results of such as palm wine or beverage, as a drink. 

Of course, it will affect the vital organs in the body, and the effect some are immediate, and others take time. 

"For this case, Ethanol consumed by the victims can have an effect in two to five days, so we need to continue to monitor the possibilities that occur. We hope patients and families put their health and safety first, do not hurry to take home, " Dr. Ferry asked.
