Amuntai, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Former Minister of Social Affairs Khofifah Indar Parawansa cautioned parents to monitor the use of social media or the internet by their children because many applications and accounts of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) are so vulgar.
"This LGBT application I have ever bought and shown to the Minister of Communication and Informatics, because it is so vulgar and
can damage the younger generation," said Khofifah in Amuntai on Monday.
Khofifah said parents should not stutter of technology (gaptek) in order to know the applications, sites, and social media accounts accessed by their children.
She also advised the mothers of the board and members of Muslimat NU who still use the old phone so as not to anti and switch using an android phone.
Khofifah continued to express, LGBT community today is not shy, even proud to open their identity as LGBT community, including in South Kalimantan.
"Now LGBT couples are not shy anymore holding hands or making out in public, this is what I met last year," she said.
The Chairman of the Central Board of Muslimat NU regretted that this LGBT issue has reached the Supreme Court to the House of Representatives.
One of the candidates for Governor of East Java asserted that LGBT is contrary to the norm of law and religion because what is meant by the term of marriage is between men and women.
Present at the Gathering Ceremony of Chairman of Central Executive (PP) of Muslimat NU with Board of Representatives (PC) across South Kalimantan in KH Dr. Idham Khalid Hall in Amuntai, Khofifah invited women and women organization in South Kalimantan to commit to keeping young generation out from LGBT and drug influence.
"No less serious is the problem of drugs because of the results of the National Narcotics Agency's investigation that drug targets are children of kindergarten and elementary school," she said.
The findings of drug sweets by the authorities and BNN proved that the children have become the target of the circulation of prohibited drugs and narcotics.
