Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A number of residential areas in Banjarmasin, the capital of South Kalimantan, are being inundated due to rain from midnight to early Monday morning.

The height of the puddles from each residential area varies between 15 - 30 cm, and some enter the house and forced the inhabitants to remove the mattress to a higher place.

Not only the outskirts areas, but areas close to the center of the capital city, whose nicknamed the city of a thousand rivers, also inundated.

Lucky for residents who have renovated their houses, puddles did not enter the houses, while the old buildings suffered the inundation.

It was seen in the residential areas of ​​Banjar Indah, Bumi Pemurus Permai, and Beruntung Jaya, in the Pemurus Dalam Urban Village, South Banjarmasin.

Similarly, in some areas in the urban villages in East Banjarmasin, among others in Kebun Bunga, Sungai Bilu and Sungai Lulut.

It might be the water inundation deep enough, some animals live in the water, such as lizard came out, even wanted to enter the house.

As happened in Jalan Gajah Mada, Beruntung Jaya Housing Complex, the residents caught a large lizard weighing up to ten kilograms when about to enter the house of the population.
