Based on wikipedia, scientifically the event is called the crepuscular ray a natural phenomenon when sunlight is seen to radiate from a certain point.

This light radiation can occur because the sunlight passes through the gaps between clouds or other objects and is usually seen before sunrise or sunset, this phenomenon is also known as the rays of God.

Crepuscular  rays are usually red and yellow and more easily seen in the morning or afternoon, because during the day the air particles spread short blue and green shortwave light much stronger than the long wave light that is yellow and red.
