Tanjung, S kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - PT Adaro Indonesia won a Platinum Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award for culture and education at the 2017 Indonesia CSR Award in Jakarta.


The coal mining company whose coal mining in tabalong District and Balangan District in south Kalimantan also won the CSR award in the field of health and environment.

CSR Project Section Head Firmansyah in Tanjung on Tuesday said the company submitted six programs from five pillars of CSR for the award.

In social and culture was Dayak Deah Cultural Festival of Kampung Sepuluh, in education in the form of free student transportation, in health with clean water program, in economy with initiation of business incubator establishment (Link-B), and in environment with adiwiyata school and Bina Desa Kinarum.

"There were 20 cross-cutting companies competing for the award of CSR program implementation in silver, gold and platinum category," Firmansyah explained.

Firmansyah considered this event not just a container to demonstrate Adaro's commitment but an embodiment of a comprehensive process with a long-term goal of self-reliance.

At the peak of 2017 Indonesia CSR Award Adaro won three platinum category awards, two gold and one silver.

It won the platinum awards for Dayak Cultural Festival of Deah Kampung Sepuluh, the free transportation for students and Adiwiyata schools.

While the CSR program in the form of clean water and link development - B won the gold category and Kinarum Village development program for silver category.

Firmansyah added that the award was given by representative of the Research and Technology and Higher Education Ministry Ari Hendrarto.

Ari said in a sustainable development there should be nothing left behind "No one left behind" because not only us that live is sustainable development.
