Tanah Bumbu socializes energy conservation

Batulicin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Government of Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan, has socialized energy conservation to its people in order to save energy.

Regent Mardani H. Maming through his Expert Staff on Economic and Development H. Riduan in Batulicin on Friday said the socialization was done by establishing cooperation between local government and South Kalimantan Energy and Mineral Resources Agency in accordance with the Presidential instruction.

"After the socialization will be formed the task force of energy savings in each region," he said.

The established task force will do an online report on energy saving and become a pioneer of energy saving, both in the office environment and in the everyday community.

The major challenges the government facing include the equality of public perceptions of the importance of implementing energy conservation.

Energy conservation is the government's effort to conserve energy resources and improve the efficiency of its utilization.

Social movements must start from ourselves, as well as the energy conservation movement can start from the smallest organization then enlarge to make a great movement.

Therefore, continued Mardani, the implementation of energy conservation requires participation of all elements of society.
