Tanah Laut welcomes Japanese investor

Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The District Secretary of Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan, H Syahrian Nurdin MSi welcomed the arrival of Japan Company Prospec Holding Inc. at the Regent's office on Sunday (26/11).

Also attending the reception was the Head of the Public Works Agency and the representative of the Transportation Agency.

"Tanah Laut district welcomed the arrival of Prospec Holding Inc. from Japan," said H Syahrian Nurdin in Pelaihari.

According to him, Tanah Laut has a population of approximately 355,000 people with an area of approximately 3,600 square kilometers.

 "With the large areas, but with relatively little human resources, we urgently need the entry of investment in the district," he hoped.

He explained that Tanah Laut has the potential of coal, iron ore, rock, and other minerals and is currently also developing rubber plantations and oil palm plantations.

"In South Kalimantan, Tanah Laut is the largest supplier to the livestock," he explained.

40 percent stock of beef supply, he explained, is from Tanah Laut to meet the needs of South Kalimantan.

"For oil palm itself, Tanah Laut has about 120,000 hectares of palm oil," he said.
