Four ministers and two governors to be River Congress speakers

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaraNewsKalsel) - Four ministers and two governors will be speakers at the 3rd Indonesian River Congress (KSI) scheduled for November 1-4, 2017 in Banjarmasin.

Based on the rundown of 3rd KSI discussed in the meeting of KSI committee in Menara Pandang on Tuesday, the ministers are the Maritime Affairs Coordinating Minister General (Ret) Luhut Binsar Panjaitan and the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti.

Two other ministers are Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Ir Mochamad Basoeki Hadimoeljono and Minister of Environment and Forestry Dr. Ir Siti Nurbaya Bakar.

Meanwhile, two governors who will also present their paper are Central Java Governor H Ganjar Pranowo, and South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Noor.

Papers to be presented include "Opportunities and Challenges of Organizing Environmentally Friendly Maritime Sector Business" by TNI General (Ret.) Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, and "Sustainability of Supporting Capacity of Marine Resources for Fishermen's Welfare," by Susi Pudjiastuti.

Then "Challenges in the Implementation Governance Policy of Water Resources, Rivers and Regions for Nation's Prosperity," by Ir Mochamad Basoeki Hadimoeljono. "Challenge of Environmental Partnership and Its Challenges in Implementation of River and Forest Control for Nation's Prosperity," by Dr Ir Siti Nurbaya Bakar.

As moderator for these ministers is Fadjroel Rachman, President Commissioner of PT Adhi Karya Tbk.

While the Central Java Governor H Ganjar Pranowo to present the paper "The Indonesian River Congress, Ideas and Experience of Implementation in Central Java," followed by the paper of South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Nor "The Indonesian River Congress, Hope and Commitment to Realize South Kalimantan as River Civilization Front Platform".

The mayor of Banjarmasin Ibnu Sina will also perform the paper featuring "Banjarmasin the Most Beautiful River, Clean and Comfortable".

The moderator for the performance of Governor and Mayor will be Gusti Nurpansyah, Special Staff of Minister, Ministry of Environment (2009-2011) and Expert Team of Peat Restoration TRGD South Kalimantan.
