Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 2/10 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined 13 members of the Banjarmasin's Legislative Council (DPRD) members as witnesses to a bribery case that entrapped their chairman as a suspect.


"KPK investigators borrowed a place in South Kalimantan Police to conduct examination today," said Head of Public Relations of South Kalimantan Police Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Mochamad Rifai in Banjarmasin on Monday.

While one of the KPK investigators who met AntaranewsKalsel after the examination Monday evening was not willing to provide information.

He reasoned according to procedure all material information related to the case delivered by KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah in Jakarta.

"We only carry out the task of examining not to convey information to the media," said a KPK investigator who was not willing to say his name.

Meanwhile, from the examination that took place from Monday morning until the afternoon in the Directorate of Drugs Detective Police a total of seven KPK investigators examined 13 members of the council in turn.

Acting Chairman of the DPRD Banjarmasin Budi Wijaya and Vice Chairman Suprayogi were also questioned.

"As long as we know yes we say, thank God investigators are friendly and examination is relaxed and there is no pressure," explained Suprayogi who met reporters after the examination and claimed to have been examined for almost three hours.

As is known, the Commission arrested four suspects in red-handed operation (OTT) related to the approval of draft regulations (raperda) on city's capital participation to government owned Water Company PDAM Bandarmasih worth Rp50.5 billion.
