The Kotabaru Civil Servants' Wives Association (DWP) distributed social assistance (bansos) during a regular meeting and accompanied by iftar at the Ratu Intan women's Building.

Chairperson of Kotabaru DWP Ny Risna S Pane Eka Safrudin said their routine meetings play an important role as a means to strengthen ties between the board of the organization or administrators and members.

“Meeting like this is to foster togetherness, increase social awareness, and strengthen the role of Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) in supporting duties and dedication of husbands as the government apparatus,” she said here as reported on Friday.

Particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, which is the right time to increase good deeds and foster a spirit of sharing with others.

The social assistance distribution as part of their activities were expected to be a tangible manifestation of social concern and bring blessing to all DWP members.

In addition to strengthening ties, this activity was expected to foster empathy  and concern to people in need, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

The routine meeting was concluded with fast breaking together held in a friendly and family atmosphere. 

The Kotabaru DWP hopes similar activities continue to be held as an effort to strengthening ukhuwah or brotherhood and increase faith and devotion to Allah Subhanahu WaTaala.

The event was attended by Chairperson of Kotabaru DWP Ny Risna S. Pane Eka Safrudin, members and the board of the organization. It was also filled with religious lecture dilivered by Mrs Marfuah.
