Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The District Military Command (Kodim) 1007 Banjarmasin will build 23 bridges in the isolated area of Sungai Gampa, Sungai Jingah Sub-district, Banjarmasin.


"The bridge construction consists of 19 small bridges with a total length of 137 meters and a width of two meters and four large bridges with a total length of 106 meters and a width of two meters," said the District Military Commander (Dandim) 1007 Banjarmasin Lieutenant Colonel Inf Wilson Napitupulu here on Wednesday.

The construction of infrastructure facilities in the outskirts of the City is included in the 100th TNI Integrated Village Development (TMMD) scheduled for one month from September 27 to October 26, 2017.

In addition to the bridge, TMMD Task Force team will also build a 729-meter long road with a width of two meters and additional targets of home renovation as many as six units in the coastal area.

"We are also conducting non-physical operations in the form of counseling of nationalism, radicalism, horticultural agriculture, family planning, drugs, socialization of TNI recruitment, and free medical treatment, and cheap market," Wilson told reporters after the opening ceremony of the TMMD.

The total number of TMMD Task Force's daily operations is 200 persons consisting of Kodim 1007 Banjarmasin soldiers, Infantry Battalion 623/BWU, Denzipur 8/GM, Banjarmasin Navy Base, Sjamsudin Noor Banjarmasin Air Base, Banjarmasin City Police and the local community.

Related to the Sungai Gampa access to four-wheeled vehicles that can not go to the location, Wilson said, building materials transportation in a relay using traditional boat through river channels.

The presence of the TMMD Task Force team was greeted enthusiastically by local residents who mostly work as rice and orange farmers.

Even other villagers on the other side of the river also asked the TNI to build their area where they also still have the minimal infrastructure.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Banjarmasin Ibnu Sina expressed his gratitude that TMMD can also be implemented in the city he leads.

"Although Banjarmasin does not have a village, there are still remote areas in the suburbs that their infrastructure must be improved, one of them in the Sungai Gampa," he said.

Even that makes Ibn Sina proud, Banjarmasin municipal government can save up to 30 percent budget by the implementation of TMMD when compared to make their own from regular projects.

The opening ceremony, as well as the review to the location of TMMD, was also attended by Colonel Hartomo, who served as Expert Staff of Regional Military Commander (Pangdam) Mulawarman IV.
