Barabai, South Kalimantan 20/9 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Members of Yonif (Infantry Battalion) 621 Manuntung Barabai Task Force, South Kalimantan, who will be in charge of border security operations in Indonesia with Malaysia ready to depart.


Deputy Operations Assistant (Waasops) of TNI Commander Rear Admiral TNI Nurhidayat along with other TNI officials directly checked the readiness and visited Yonif 621 Manuntung headquarters in Barabai, Wednesday.

"Soldiers are ready to depart after previously conducted various field training several times for the readiness to be the guardian of Indonesia border with Malaysia," said Nurhidayat.

Nurhidayat also hopes that the soldiers will be able to carry out the noble task with great enthusiasm and high sense of responsibility.

"Adjust the rules that have been received, maintain health, loyalty, and carry out good cooperation with relevant agencies at the place of assignment," he said.

If the border assignment succeeds and performs well with no offense, then he said, the soldiers will be proposed to carry out overseas duties.

"Those who excel will be included in Garuda troops through the UN program," he said.

The Battalion Commander (Danyon) 621 Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Rio Neswan who will also direct the entourage in the departure said that the number of TNI personnel from Yonif 621 who will depart as many as 350 soldiers.

"The departure is expected in October 2017 and to serve in the Nunukan area of ??North Kalimantan, which borders with Malaysia, for 12 months or depending on the need," he said.
