KPK red-hands DPRD and PDAM officials

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews South Kalimantan) - A number of the city-owned water company PDAM Bandarmasih and DPRD officials red-handed (OTT) by the KPK were taken outside the office of the South Kalimantan Police's Special Crime Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus), Friday (15/9) at 10.50 am.

PDAM officials were seen wearing a yellow sasirangan shirt with a green mixed motif, while the DPRD's appeared to be wearing a brown jacket, sunglasses, and a hat.

They look compactly covering their faces with masks as they went out to the car.

  

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigator put them in different cars. Some in silver gold Toyota Kijang Inova DA 1785 AM, others in silver gold Toyota Kijang Inova  DA 7837 AQ and silver Toyota Kijang Inova DA 7757 AS.

     

Each car was escorted by fully armed Mobile Brigade (Brimob) members. The car immediately drove fast when out of Ditreskrimsus office on Jl Ahmad Yani Km 4.5, Bina Brata Police Complex, Banjarmasin.

     

Journalists who try to dig information to the officers where the alleged perpetrators of corruption were brought, both KPK investigators and the Director of Special Crime Investigation Sr Comr Rizal Irawan did not give any statement.

Chairman of KPK Agus Rahardjo in Jakarta said Friday so far it secures about five people from the elements of DPRD Banjarmasin, BUMD, and private.

They were caught over allegations of transactions related to the discussion of local regulations. The team also secured some money, he said.

The KPK also conducted a search at the DPRD Banjarmasin on Friday morning and seized several important files from the Commission II room and legal section room.

"There are several files confiscated by the KPK," explained the Secretary of the DPRD Faturahim who was met after the search.
