Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Sambang Lihum Mental Hospital (RSJ) managed by the South Kalimantan Provincial Government on Jl A Yani Km 17, Gambut, Banjar District, developed a new way of treating mental health.

"The new treatment is by combining the modern mental illness medical treatment with traditional one of South Kalimantan typical called tatamba," said Director of Sambang Lihum Mental Hospital dr Dharma Putra, Wednesday.

Talking to AntaranewsKalsel in his office yard, dr Dharma Putra said to support the integrated system of modern and traditional, a special location called "paradise garden" has been built.

The garden is adjacent to a water park which location is made in such a way as to cool the mental for anyone who is in the location.

Even the Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Nor or Uncle Birin has planted a banyan tree (Banjar: kariwaya) to support the integrated system treatment program. 

This special place is for anyone who suffers from health problems, such as sleeplessness, stress, mag diseases. Here he undergoes the process of treatment.

"Please come to this location to enjoy the garden of heaven while hearing the strains of the holy verses of the Qur'an for Muslims, or other non-religions such as suitable music," he said.

According to him, people who come to the physical health clinic actually as much as 45 percent is due to mental illness and that if not treated will become a heavy mental disorder.
