Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The South Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda) has spread 40 livestock for residents in some places in the province to conduct qurban (Islamic sacrifice). 


"Alhamdulillah in Eid-al-Adha this year we handed out qurban livestock to be handed over at once today," said South Kalimantan Police Chief Brig. Gen. Rachmat Mulyana in Banjarmasin, Thursday. 

The police chief himself handed over the qurban livestock to the board of management of Sabilal Muhtadin Grand Mosque and to Secretariat of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Branch of South Kalimantan.

He handed over a big livestock wich weighed almost a ton each for the grand mosque and PWI. He was accompanied by South Kalimantan Police qurban managing committee Dani Humardani, Head of Career and Development (Binkar) AKBP Cuncun Kurniadi and Head of Public Relation AKBP Mochamad Rifai.

Police chief expected the sacrifice livestock donated by the regional police to be useful, especially for the community who really need it.

"I personally as a leader thank all police members who participated in collecting the qurban livestock this year. May Allah accept our religious service," Rahmat pointed out.

The 40 livestock handed over by the South Kalimantan Regional Police for sacrifice in the Eid-al-Adha consisted of 25 cows and 15 goats.

Meanwhile, 13 police resort across South Kalimantan also doing donation by handed over 76 qurban livestock which comprised 58 cows and 18 goats.
