Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - PT Pertamina adds fuel allocation in Kalimantan to anticipate the increase need in the community both for driving and cooking in August 2017, especially ahead of Eid al-Adha.

For the allocation of various types of fuel in Kalimantan in general Pertamina prepares additional up to 7 percent and up to 5 percent for LPG.

Pertamina Kalimantan Area Manager for Communication & Relationship Alicia Irzanova said learning from the trend in the previous year fuel and LPG consumption in Kalimantan ahead of Eid al Adha has increased from normal consumption.

For example, the increased consumption of LPG is due to the high activities of cooking considering the number of religious ceremonies ahead of Eid al-Adha such as recitation, celebration, and the wedding.

"The increase in consumption has been anticipated by Pertamina by preparing additional allocation of various types of products, and the field team also keeps monitoring the availability of stock so that the public can comfortably enjoy the day," said Alicia.

The increasing trends vary across cities and provinces. The 3 percent additional allocation
of the fuel product for Public Service Obligation (PSO) for a premium is equivalent to 4,05 KL per day and 5 percent diesel fuel additional is equivalent to 2,768 KL per day.

The increase also followed a variety of non-subsidized fuel products, namely Pertamax to 10 percent or equivalent to 640 KL per day and Pertamina Dex 6 percent or equivalent to 16 KL per day.

The most significant increase is predicted to occur in Pertalite products by 16 percent or equivalent to 2,147 KL per day.

"The increase consumption of non-subsidized fuel is demonstrating the wisdom of people in choosing the appropriate fuel with vehicle specifications today," said Alicia.

Not much different from the fuel products, LPG also predicted to increase. For 3 KG subsidized products Pertamina has prepared additional stock up to 6 percent from normal consumption amounted to 1200 MT per day.

Pertamina also anticipates consumption of nonsubsidized 12 kg LPG products with an increase of up to 4 percent or equal to 137 MT per day.

As for LPG Bright Gas 5.5 Kg and 12 Kg is predicted to increase to 4 percent or equivalent to 61.04 MT per day.
