Corporate Finance Manager David Halim added that Indocement estimates domestic demand to decline by around 2%–3% in 2025, primarily due to infrastructure budget cut this year and weak purchasing power.
"However, we anticipate an increase in demand in 2026 which is estimated to initially grow around 1% from 2025, driven by government efforts to push economic growth, such as stimulus packages, interest rate cuts, extension of VAT discount for recidential property, and increased budget allocation for public works," he expounded.
Indocement is one of the largest cement producer in Indonesia, producing cement under the brands Tiga Roda, Rajawali, Mortar Tiga Roda, and Grobogan.
Currently, Indocement and its subsidiaries are engaged in several business sectors, including the manufacture and sale of cement (as its core business) and ready-mix concrete, as well as aggregate and trass quarrying, with approximately 4,500 employees.
