Regent of Tabalong H Muhammad Noor Rifani stated that poverty alleviation programs must be truly on target, cnsidering the district currently ranks third in the number of poor people in South Province.
"Not only well-targeted, the program must have a real impact on communities in need," he said here on Thursday.
This include optimizing the Integrated Poverty Alleviation Information System (Silangkar) app through technical guidance for village and urban village operators in Tabalong Regency.
"Operators maust ensure accurate and complete data on the number of poor people to make poverty alleviation program more effective," said the Regent.

The Land of Saraba Kawa (Tabalong's nicknmae) recorded 5.64 percent poverty rate, the third highest in the province after Hulu Sungai Tengah and Hulu Sungai Utara districts.
Tabalong is targeting to reduce poverty rate by 3.08 to 3.47 percent in 2025.
Meanwhile, the Silangkar app technical guidance organized by the Regional Development Planning, Research and Innovation Agency (Bapperinda) was attended by village facilitators, the Sub-district Social Welfare Wrokers (TKSK), sub-district operators, village operators and Silangkar data managers.
Head of Bapperinda Arianto stated that poverty handling is a shared responsibility from the central government, provincial government, district government down to the village level.

“Poverty is a social issue for us as inviduals. So, we have a responsibility to ur neighbors,” he said.
Arianto encouraged all participants to carry out their duties and functions more effectively and efficiently, so that poverty alleviation continue to improve.
Village operators and officials were also asked to ensure accuracy and completeness of data in the app, which is designed to help plan, budget, analysis, monitor, and evaluate poverty alleviation program in a comprehensive and data-driven manner.
