Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) removed three of the 42 cultural sanctuaries in South Kalimantan, a local official said.


Head of Culture Department of Education and Culture Agency here Ahmad Subakti said Datuk Ambulung tomb in Sungai Batang, Martapura, Datuk Sanggul tomb in Tatakan, Tapin District, and Tumpang Talu tomb in Kandangan, HSS, were removed from the list of cultural heritage.

"The reason for the elimination from the list because the design of the tombs was changed from the original," said Uncle Anang (Ahmad Subakti nickname) after a working meeting with Commission IV of the local legislative council on Thursday.

But Uncle Anang, who is a brother-in-law of South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Noor, did not elaborate on the design changes of the tombs on the grounds he only 24 hours since he served as head of the culture department.

Problems that arise with the elimination of the cultural heritage, continued the former teacher who ran in the election of Barito Kuala Regent, the guard is no longer getting incentives Rp1,5 million per month from the central government (Kemendikbud).

In addition, no longer budget for the maintenance of the cultural heritage from the central government.
