Batulicin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Government of Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan, will soon build an industrial polytechnic college, which will be financed by the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia.


Head of local Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) Rahmadi in Batulicin on Tuesday said Tanah Bumbu has prepared 50 hectares of land for the construction of Batulicin Industrial Polytechnic building.

The land is very strategic, as it is located between the provincial road and state road. In addition, the readiness of supporting infrastructure is considered adequate.

"Previously we received a visit from the Ministry of Industry related to the development plan of Batulicin Industry Polytechnic to discuss the preparation and completeness of its administration," he said.

The first step taken by the local government is making physical planning, curriculum planning, the amount of building planning and student candidate capacity.

The local government is also preparing legality and licensing for the district owned company Batulicin Jaya Utama as the management of the industrial zone.

The industrial polytechnic is built as the support of labor required by companies operating in the industrial zone. It will become a producer of reliable human resources to compete in the world of work.

The Batulicin Industrial Polytechnic is planned to be built by the Ministry of Industry in 2018. It is now in the completeness phase of the file and will carry out an auction.

"Batulicin Industries Polytechnic is planned to be the largest. If ITB has only 27 ha of land area, while local government has prepared 50 ha for the establishment of Batulicin Industrial Polytechnic," he said.
