Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 29/7 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Seaport Sector Police (KPL) of Banjarmasin City Police confiscated 8,000 packs of cigarettes suspected of using false taxes.


"Thousands of packs of illegal cigarettes we confiscated from PT Lintas Jawa expedition warehouse located in the vicinity of Trisakti Banjarmasin Port," said KPL police chief Comr (Kompol) Susilawati here on Saturday.

The confiscation of cigarettes with a brand Armor Black was on Saturday afternoon at about 16:30. 
"As many as 10 colis of illegal cigarettes are expected to arrive at the Lintas Jawa expedition warehouse. When we get the information we then directly do a confiscation," said police chief who familiar with the media crew.

Susi continued to say, thousands of cigarettes were sent from Surabaya and after checked the recipient was not listed or unclear, police then confiscated and made them as the findings of no man.

"We ask for cooperation with the expedition if found any suspected or illegal goods please directly contact the KPL Police," said the woman who has not even one week served as police chief.

The middle officer graduated from the Police Academy also said that thousands of packets of cigarettes will be handed over to the Customs and Excise Office of Banjarmasin.

"These cigarettes will be submitted to the Customs and Excise Office for the next process as the authorized agency handles the tax problem," said the hijaber woman.
