Ministry to help rebuild burnt school in Banjarbaru

Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan 9/7 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Ministry of Education and Culture is ready to help Banjarbaru to rehabilitate a state elementary school SDN Landasan Ulin Timur 1 which is damage due to fire last Saturday (1/7).

Deputy Mayor Darmawan Jaya Setiawan here on Sunday said he has received a visit from an official from the ministry on Saturday (8/7).

"He was Director of School Development of Directorate General of Primary and Secondary Education Wowon Widaryat who came to witness the condition of the school after a fire," he told.

He said the echelon I central official declared readiness to help rebuild part of the burnt building, namely eight of eleven rooms that were damaged by fire.

The eight will be fully funded by the ministry, while the rest, multimedia lab, teacher work group (KKG), and warehouse, to be financed by the municipal government.

"The asistance of the ministry of cource very helpful to accelerate the rehabilitation of the school building after a fire disaster. We hope learning and teaching activity will soon back to normal," said deputy mayor.
