Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 23/6 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The peak of homecoming travel (mudik) flow occured on Friday or D-2 Idul Fitri 1438 Hijriah at the Kilometer six (KM-6) terminal Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. 


KM-6 Terminal Banjarmasin official M Yusuf said the flow of homecoming travel reached it peak that day (Friday) with passengers leaving at 3,000 people.

"From morning to afternoon the condition of the terminal is crowded by passengers who want to go to various destinations, more dense than the previous days," he said.

Mostly passengers of intercity-interprovince (AKAP)bus  for destination of Samarinda and Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.

"At least 21 buses scheduled to depart for East Kalimantan this afternoon," said Yusuf who estimated more than a thousand passengers were transported throughout the day for the Banjarmasin-East Kalimantan.

While other AKAP buses were for the destination of Palangkaraya, Sampit and Buntok in Central Kalimantan. He said about 41 buses leaving that day with a nearly 700 passengers.

The passengers of intercity in the province (AKDP), Yusuf said, also experienced peak, namely to the Banua Enam (Tapin, Kandangan, Barabai, Amuntai, Tanjung and Balangan) with about 460 passengers.

"The general fleet to the Banua Enam area is L-300 type, so there are about 100 units today transporting passengers," he said.

Other AKDP, he said, were to Batulicin and Kotabaru with 15 buses departing with 410 passengers.

"Today (Friday), until around 21:00 pm departure of public transport fleet to various destinations still going on," he explained.

He predicted that the peak flow of homecoming will still happen until tomorrow Saturday), but not as busy as that day (Friday).

So far, called Yusuf, the condition of mudik flowing are smoothly, there is no significant constraint, meaning that all passengers can be transported.

"For security in the terminal was done very tight supervised, until the passengers come to feel comfortable and protected," he explained.
