Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Bank Indonesia (BI) will begin opening a new exchange service on June 12, 2017.


"Kick-off of money exchange directly to community on June 12 at the yard office of Banjarmasin Mayor at Jalan RE Martadinata," said Chief Representative of Bank Indonesia South Kalimantan Harymurthy Gunawan here on Thursday.

People are asked not to worry about not getting new money. Because the amount of new money to serve money changers before Lebaran this year is sufficient.

"Whatever much the demand from the community must be fulfilled, we just add to the needs of people who come to exchange new money," said Harymurthy.

Not only in Banjarmasin, Bank Indonesia cash depositin Batulicin and Tanjung also give similar services.

Harymurthy also encouraged people to exchange money at official counters banking, so that the money received is really guaranteed from the treasury of Bank Indonesia.

"For sure its free in BI there is no additional cost, while the money changers on the sidewalks can not be accounted for because it can not be tested the eligibility or authenticity," he said.

While South Kalimantan Police Chief Brigadier General Rachmat Mulyana ordered his staff to be alert to guard the implementation of bustling financial transactions ahead of Eid.

"Members should not underestimate, everyone should be vigilant because crime can threaten at any time, so increase security amongst people, especially in the process of financial transactions," the police chief said.
