Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 7/6 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Directorate of General Crime Investigation of South Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda) directly detained two coal fraud perpetrators who were caught in Jakarta.


"The two suspects were arrested on Tuesday (6/6) night by mobile brigade (Resmob) team in Jakarta and in Wednesday afternoon arrived in Banjarmasin," said Director General Crime Investigation of South Kalimantan Police Sr Comr. (Kombes) Sofyan Hidayat here on Wednesday.

Upon arriving at South Kalimantan Police Headquarters, the two suspects, Pierson Tambunan and Andrew Bonnie Boentoro, were immediately thrown into the detention of Directorate of Prisoners and Evidence Building (Dit Tahti) on Jalan DI Pandjaitan Banjarmasin.

"The two suspects immediately detained for further investigation for filing," he said.

The case that envolved the two suspects was the development of an investigation into a case of coal scam committed by suspect M Ardi Rosadi, whose case was complete and accepted by the South Kalimantan Prosecutor's Office.

Based on information collected by AntaranewsKalsel, allegedly the mode of the suspects by way of becoming an insider in a coal buyer company. But secretly cooperate with realtor or coal seller to convey untrue information to the owner of coal buyer company.

Furthermore, the coal offered to the buyer was not in accordance with the agreement, either the goods spec, delivery and the shipment.

Pierson Tambunan and Andrew Bonnie Boentoro were alleged to have repeatedly committed the action, and caused many victims with no small losses.

For their actions, the two suspects were sued with Article 378 of the Criminal Code juncto Article 56 paraghraph 2 for violating crime to assist in committing fraud or committing the crime of embezzlement.
