Batulicin, South Kalimantan 30/5 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Alpine Marine 11 tagbout burned in the sea waters of Sewangi Island, Simpang Empat Subdistrict, Tanah Bumbu Regency, on Tuesday (30/5) at around 08.00.


Head of Tanah Bumbu Water and Air Police Unit (Satpolairud) AKP Parman in Batulicin on Tuesday said he deployed six members with the support of equipment required in the SAR.

"There were no casualties in the incident, only injuries and already in medical care at the nearest public health center (puskesmas)," Parman said.

Alpine Marine, which sailing from Tanah Grogot, East Kalimantan, with the destination to Cilegon, Banten, was loaded with coal. It allegedly burned when transfered fuel from the main tank to the daily tank.

"This is only a preliminary assumption. What definitely is our members focus to rescue the crew of the ship. All have been evacuated and in escort," he said.

On the accident, Parman urged the ship's crew to be more careful when transferring fuel on board, including equipping safety equipment in anticipation of unexpected things happening.
