Paringin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Balangan Resort Police in South Kalimantan province develops fishery aquaculture to help increase member's income while helping people meet the needs of various types of fish.


Head of Human Resources Division of Balangan Police Commissioner Joko Sudarmadi here Friday said at this time as many as 30 members of the Resort Police are attending fish farming training.

"Nursery and fish farming training for Balangan Police personnel is as provisions from now until in the future," he said.

A total of 30 personnel are studying fishery aquaculture techniques in cooperation with R & D Mine Closure Department and Community Relation and Mediation Department of PT Adaro Indonesia.

The personnel, he added, were given provision of skills in various fields, about the development of fisheries and the challenges, including the possibility of a fish disease attack.

"Of course this is very useful for the members. These skills can be applied directly, both for the active personnel and preparation of the period of retirement," he explained.

On that occasion, Yunesto, R & D Mine Closure Foreman, who filled out the materials invited participants to understand the prerequisites before cultivation, such as proper seeding, pond-making, proper breeding, to feed management.

Previously, Head of Foreign Trade of South Kalimantan Industry and Trade Agency Gusti Yasni Iqbal said the export potential of fishery resources is still wide open.

Unfortunately, the potential can not be utilized optimally by South Kalimantan, so almost the last few years the export sector of South Kalimantan fishery barely developed.
