Kandangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Muhammad Noor (50), a resident of Jalan Parindra, North Kandangan, Kandangan Sub-district, South Hulu Sungai (HSS), for no apparent reason was shot by two unidentified people while catching fish on Tuesday (16/5) around 17:45.


HSS Police Chief AKBP Sukendar Eka Ristiyan Putra through Public Relations AKP Agus Winartono in Kandangan, Tuesday, confirmed the shooting of the victim, a civil servant teacher, at Lake Bangkau, Bangkau Village, Kandangan Sub-district.

"When the victim fishing in Lake Bangkau using kelotok (a traditional river boat fitted with motor) and nets then came two unknown men using kelotok and approached the victim," he said.

The two strangers asked whether the victim a Bangkau resident, answered by the victim he was not. Then the perpetrators again asked and answered again with the same answer. After that, for no reason one of the actors directed air rifle to the victim's body.

The perpetrator shot him about the left side of the waist after which the two perpetrators immediately fled, while the victim directly turned on the engine backed to the Bangkau village to ask for help.

The victim was then taken by the community to Hassan Basry Kandangan Hospital to get help. The victim suffered two injuries on the left side of the waist.

The victim explained that he did not recognize the two actors. The characteristic of one of the actors was curly hair, medium stature, and black skin.

Currently the two perpetrators of the shootings are still under investigation by the local police.
