ASDP Batulicin prepares a ro-ro ship for President

Batulicin, South Kalimantan 6/5 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Management of PT River, Lake and Ferry Transportation (ASDP) Branch of Batulicin prepared a special ship for the President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and his entourage if visiting the port.

Head of PT ASDP Branch Batulicin Danie through Business Manager Marsadik here Saturday said ASDP is preparing a roll-on roll-off (ro-ro) ship, with a capacity of hundreds of passengers and dozens of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles with VIP facilities.

"The information we received from relevant agencies that President Jokowi officially did not review to Batulicin Port, but we keep preparing ship and facilities if suddenly he want to see the port," he said.

The vessel prepared is a commercial vessel, but a few days before the President's visit is not operated. The ship will be used to serve the President if he wants to go to Pulaulaut Kotabaru using sea lane.

In addition to alerting the vessel, ASDP prepares another preparedness completing facilities and infrastructure, such as street lighting, passenger lounge and other facilities.

Meanwhile, ASDP continues to provide services to service customers by operating seven ships with temporary operations, three sailing and four in case.

The seven vessels are three owned by ASDP, three belong to PT Jembatan Nusantara and one owned by PT Darma Lautan Utama. Four ferries are operated with a capacity of 800 two-wheeled vehicles and about 300 cars. The amount already includes passengers from Batulicin and from Kotabaru.
