Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews South Kalimantan) - A total of 500 TNI soldiers along with 600 South Kalimantan Regional Police personnel conducted security during the visit of President Joko Widodo in South Kalimantan.


"All the soldiers have been alerted to the prescribed posts, starting from the airport, along the way the president through to the location of the event," said Military Commander (Danrem) 101/Antasari Colonel Cavalry Yanuar Adil in Banjarmasin on Saturday.

He said that he as Commander of Task Force (Dansatgas) securing the area of President Jokowi's visit in South Kalimantan appealed to the community to keep the situation to stay conducive until the end of all series of presidential activities in South Kalimantan.

"Perhaps the public comfort was slightly disturbed when there was a five-minute road closure when a motorcade of presidential cars crossed the streets, but we hoped that the understanding would be for the common good," Yanuar Adil said.

Meanwhile, South Kalimantan Police Chief Brigadier General Rachmat Mulyana revealed, he alerted 600 members to help secure the president.

"Members of the police are in ring 3 during security, including alerting Mobile Brigade (Brimob) in full force to ensure the security of President Joko Widodo while in South Kalimantan," said the chief of police.

President Jokowi is scheduled to arrive at Syamsudin Noor Airport on Saturday afternoon. The presidential entourage went directly to Tanah Bumbu for overnight. On Sunday (7/5) morning, the president attend an event at Pantai Pagatan and distributed Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS) to the local community.

The President then to Tanah Laut District to attend an event in Tebing Siring Village. Next back to Banjarmasin and stay one night.

On Monday (8/5), President Jokowi go to Syamsudin Noor Airport to continue his visit to Eastern Indonesia.
