Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Provincial Military Commander (Danrem) 101 Antasari Colonel Kav Yanuar Adil confirmed any member of the army in Korem 101 involved with drugs will be prosecuted and could end in dismissal.

"I'm not kidding, member involved in drugs will be processed and could lead to dismissal," he said in Banjarmasin on Thursday.

He said the sanction of dismissal for military members involved in drugs was confirmed directly by the National Armed Forces (TNI) Commander and all members are informed.

"If you want to become member of the military, stay away from drugs and other violations of law that are fatal," he said in the gathering with members of the press in the Hall of Korem 101/Ant.

Yanuar expected the village supervisory non-commissioned officer (Babinsa) in every village to help the side agency in combating drug trafficking.

"Please TNI members or Babinsa catch drug offenses in condition of red-handed, but if need investigation please bring members of the police in accordance with the rules," said the man who is familiar with the media crew.

Danrem said, according to Law No. 35 of 2009 on narcotics, anyone can catch drug offender as long as caught red-handed with the evidence on the spot.

However, if there is suspicion of drug trafficking in any place, then go to the police and the police will follow-up the report.

"Together, let us eradicate drugs because eradication of drug therein not only the police but rather our common task," he said.
