Banjarmasin dominates Mayor Cup tennis champion

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalimantan) - Mayor's Cup 2017 open tennis championships for elementary, junior, and high school students dominated by the host athletes as winners. 

It was officially closed by General Administrative Assistant of Banjarmasin administration Rusmin Ardhalewa, who represented Mayor Ibnu Sina, Sunday (19/3).

M Reza Fakhriadi from Banjarmasin captured first place in the male's singles for 16 to 25 years age group, while the first prize for female single age group 16-25 years seized by Elma Malinda from HSU. The match lasted three days from March 17 to 19.

According to Rusmin Ardhalewa, many more young tennis players in Kalimantan are expected to take part in the future championship. 

Mayor Cup 2017 among elementary school, junior high, and high school was held at the Dharma Praja court, Banjarmasin. The match was attended by 125 tennis athletes from South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan.

The overall result of the match was a male doubles match for age group 10-12 year first prize won by Noprizal from Balangan and Ragin from Banjarmasin, the runner-up M Ridho and M Akmal from Banjarmasin, third place Bagus and Refaldi from Banjarbaru. Fourth prize won by Iqbal and Ferris from Banjarmasin.

While the women's doubles age group of 10-12 years with a first winner Rara and Ela of Banjarmasin, the runner-up Maisy and Naila, the third winner Putri and Dea from HSU, and forth winner Naila and Tata from Banjarmasin.

In a male doubles age group of 14-16 year, the first champion Sandi Firsan and Rizky Fitrawan of Banjarmasin, the runner-up Fazrian and Adi Muhammad from Banjarmasin, third place Farras and Rofiq of HSS, the fourth winner Ahdi and Wafi of HSS.

While the first champion in the women's doubles age group 14-16 years achieved by Rosanty of Tapin and Omitha of Banjarbaru, the second winner Indri of the HSU and Rahmi of Tanah Laut, the third winner Linda from HSU and Icha. (Humpro-bjm/f)
