Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 22/2 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Acting head of South Kalimantan Health Agency (Dinkes) M Muslim revealed 89 Banjarmasin residents who indicated to suffer food poisoning had to be hospitalized.


"The allegation of mass poisoning due to eating packet rice occured in the event of haul in one of the house at Jalan Sutoyo S Gang Pangeran Suryanata, Tuesday (21/2) night," he said in Banjarmasin on Wednesday.

"There are five hospitals that handle these adversity and there were no casualties," said Muslim.

South Kalimantan Health Office together with the Banjarmasin Health Agency have been monitoring the victims was in the Bhayangkara Hospital, Ulin General Hospital, Anshari Saleh, Islam Hospital and Suaka Insan Hospital.

"The patients are spread not in one or two hospitals alone, need fast help," said Muslim.

He revealed that the average citizen who indicated poisoning complained of dizziness and vomiting.

"Some go home the same night, others must be hospitalized for a given infusion," he told.

He said the health office until today continue to monitor in the hospitals, so that everything can be handled properly.

"God willing, every victim is given free treatment," he said.

He also said the health office is already taking food sample suspected as source of the poisoning for further research.

From the information on the ground is not a bit of food poisoning victims are children.
