Government Tracing Mental Disorder Patients

Balangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Balangan Social Agency appealed to citizens to give information regarding the presence of people with mental disorders or severe stress to the agency or other related institutions.

Head of Social Agency Ribowo in Paringin on Monday said those who are stressed or experiencing mental disorders are entitled to decent treatment. Even it is national priorities, Ribowo asserted, that madman should get proper treatment, so as not to be inhumanely treated.

"Do not let any citizens who experience severe stress or mental disorders received inhumane treatment, such as being caged and shackled," he said.

Residents who have a relative or find those with mental disorders can report to the Civil Service Police (Satpol PP) for handling in the field. Then submitted to the Health Agency to be recommended to the Social Agency to continue the rehabilitation care to the Sambang Lihum Hospital in Banjar District.

These three agencies, continued Ribowo, interconnected in the handling of citizens who experience severe stress and mental disorders, so they get the care and rehabilitation in a decent and proper.

"People do not worry about the problem of budget. All free of charge, and if it has healed, then will be returned to his family. If they are without identity, it will be submitted to the province Social Agency for further handling," he explained.
