PLN South and Central Kalimantan Main Distribution Unit (UID Kalselteng) applies its latest innovation Easy On service using special substation unit (UGS) to support industrial progress. This service was immediately utilized by CV Habibi, a stone crusher company in Banjar District.
PLN South and Central Kalimantan General Manager Ahmad Syauki here on Sunday expressed his pride for the launch of this service, which is a major breakthrough in the industrial electricity sector.
"We are proud that CV Habibi is the first to utilize this service in Indonesia. This is a concrete PLN's commitment to supporting the growth of the local industry," he said.
PLN takes care of all electricity needs in this service, from building customer-owned instalation (IML), NIDI & SLO, to providing distribution transformator and power house.
With rental scheme, companies do not need to invest heavily in electricity infrastructure, because PLN provides it completely.
Syauki also highlighted that PLN electricity is cheaper and environmentally friendly compared to genset, helping the industry support the Net Zero Emission 2060 program.
“It provides operational cost efficiency while supporting the government's green program,” he added.

Capital cost for building electrical infrastructure such as substation and installation is shifted to routine operation costs, so companies can focus on business development without large investments.
"We also thank PLN Group and partners PT Mandau Cipta Tenaga Nusantara (MCTN) and PT Maxima for the success of this program," he said.
PLN South-Central Kalimantan Commerce and Customer Management Senior Manager Agus Tri Suardi said this service is very appropriate not only for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), but also for large industry that need quick and efficient solution.
“With Easy On UGS, customers don't need to bother taking care of electricity infrastructure, everything is taken care of by PLN Grup. They only need to register and wait for electricity to be on,” said Agus Tri.
“We hope that more companies will take advantage of this service, thereby contributing to regional economic growth,” he added.
Director of CV Habibi, Zainal, expressed his gratitude for Easy On UGS service which really helped his business.
“With PLN electricity, we can run two breaker machine at once, and production reaches 150 cubic meter per day. Previously, with genset, could only produce 70 cubic meter,” he said.
He said that PLN's stable and environmentally friendly electricity has increased operational efficiency of his company.
“Hopefully this innovation continue to develop so that more entrepreneurs in Kalimantan enjoy its benefits,” Zainal concluded.
