Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Barito Putera closed Torabica Soccer Championship (TSC) league in 2016 with victory over its guest Madura United FC 1-0 at the 17 Mei Stadium Banjarmasin, Sunday.


Barito Putera win by a single goal in the 16th minute with a Nazar Nurzaidin's free kick that appropriately directed to the goal guarded by Madura United's Joko Ribowo.

With three points addition from this victory, Barito closed TSC league on 34th game with successfully collected 33 points from eight wins, nine draws, and 17 defeats.

Despite its win, Barito certainly still inhabit the 16 standings of the 18 clubs competing in the 2016 TSC league.

While Madura United FC remained third in the table below Arema Cronus and Persipura Jayapura who won 2016 TSC with a collection of 61 points from 18 wins, seven draws and nine defeats.

Over the last defeat to Barito, Madura United coach Mario Gomes De Olivera said he remained satisfied with the struggles of his foster players.

"It's a long competition to 34 matches to finish, we've struggled as much as possible," he said.

He said the achievement of his team in this league to enter the top three of the standings is a tremendous pride for lovers of football in the land of Madura.

"We congratulate the Barito victory," he said.

Meanwhile, coach Barito Yunan Hilmi expressed joy and pride over the victory in the final match of the competition.

"We should be grateful for this victory, our team played very soundly until getting a tremendous victory," he said.

He also stated that there will be an evaluation of all the players, because the game will be more severe in the future.

"Obviously the Barito coach to come Jackson F Tiago will have a strategy to deal with the league," he explained.
