The Management of PT Surya Langgeng Sejahtera (SLS) in collaboration with local government, TNI and Polri held an emergency preparedness roll call as well as simulation of handling forest and land fires in Kalumpang, South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District, South Kalimantan, Tuesday (May 28, 2024).
Community Development Officer (CDO) of PT SLS Totok here said the simulation held by the Emergency Response Preparedness Team (TKTD) was the company's commitment regarding the management and handling of forest and land fire disasters.
"PT SLS also synergizes with the surrounding communities through Fire Care Farmers Group (KTPA) and community organization PMK Tirek dan PMK Muara Ulin," he said.

Equipment and TKTD inspection were carried out and received appreciation from related parties related to completeness and readiness.
PT SLS colaborates with the elements of TNI, Polri and the local sub-district government in efforts to anticipate forest and land fires which will have an impact on environmental sustainability and health problems.
"We also have been actively appealing to public, for instance in the form of banners and others, about the importance of protecting our respective environment from forest and land fires, reminding us of the legal sanctions for petrators and their negative impact on health," he explained.
The preparedness and simulation also attended by Head of HSS Police Operation and staff, Kalumpang Police Chief, Simpur Police Chief, Operation Officer of Kodim 1003 Kdg, Commander of Simpur Military Command, as well as PT SLS management.
