The Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Legislative Council (DPRD) supports the construction of Stagen Regional General Hospital to use compensation funds from PT Sebuku Coal Group (SCG).
"We encourage the construction of the hospital using compensation funds of IDR700 billion in 2024," said DPRD Chairman Syairi Mukhlis in Kotabaru, Wednesday.
Let alone, he said, the company and the regional government's development acceleration team have made an agreement regarding the development of the hospital.
"It has been agreed, and it must be worked on so as not to cause turmoil in society," he said.

Syairi acknowledged that inital planning had been carried out by the local government, but so far there was no picture of the development.
"There are reports that the company does not want to continue the construction for the reason the old building used APBD or regional buget funds," he said.
He asked the local government to resolve these problems so that the planning process can proceed.
"In fact Jaya Sumitra Hospital is no longer able to accomodate the number of patients and the type of this hospital is classified as grade C," he said.
Kotabaru Regent's expert staff Zaenal Arifin said the continuation of the hospital construction in 2024 to refer the new Health Minister Regulation (Permenkes).
"Previously the hospital was built by the Kotabaru District Government with a budget of IDR50 billion, however the spatial layout did not comply with the new Permenkes," he said.
He expounded that the hospital construction will begin at 0 percent using compensation funds, but the amount has not yet been determined.
"Land clearing work has been carried out by PUPR Office and the construction to be carried out by PT SCG," said Zaenal.
