Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of South Kalimantan Regional Office of Justice and Human Rights Ministry (Kemenkumham) Imam Suyudi ensured passport service free of illegal levies and goes according to established procedures.


"To make sure I was with the team made a sudden inspection at Passport Service Unit (ULP) Barabai," he said in Banjarmasin on Saturday.

The spot was checked to ensure no illegal levies(popularly known as pungli) practices in handling and manufacturing services of passport by immigration officials at ULP Barabai.

In addition to correctional services in prisons and detention centers, immigration is in the spotlight for allegedly prone to the practice of pungli.

Based on the monitoring, systems and services in the ULP Barabai going well. People who apply admitted there was no pungli by officials.

"My message to the passport applicants if there are officers who dared to ask for or collect pungli, report it immediately," said the tall man.

He said the antipungli action continues to do as instructed by the president related to pungli mop, and according to the direction in minister that all services in Kemenkumham should be free of such action.

He said that if proven any officer doing pungli will surely be given strict sanctions up to dismissal.
