Central Hulu Sungai (HST), South Kalimantan, government collaborates with Ngaji.ai app development company, PT Novi Indonesia Belajar (Vokal.ai), to improve the quality of education.
HST Regent Aulia Oktafiandi held an audiance with PT Novo Indonesia in Jakarta currently, to implement learning transformation and strengthening students character education in the district.
“The first step we take is digitalizing Al-Quran learning using gadget applications,” said Aulia in Barabai, Central Hulu Sungai, Thursday.

Regional Secretary of HST Muhammad Yani, Co-founder Ngaji.ai H Sutarto Hadi, Head of HST Education Office Muhammad Anhar, CEO of Vokal.ai Martijn Enter, Director of Novo Belajar Indonesia M Vanessa Tri Octavia, Chairman of MUI HST KH Muhammad Khairuddin, Chairman of BKPRMI HST Humaidi, and religious figure KH Abdul Gafar were attended at the audience.
“We have fulfilled the invitation to an audiance with PT Novo (vokal.ai). This cooperation is proof that we are very committed to improving the quality of learning and character education of our children in Central Hulu Sungai,” he said.
Aulia said that the cooperation was a follow-up after previous programming of entering ustadz and ustadzah into formal schools at elementary (SD) and secondary (SMP) school level, then a tahfiz (memorizing Al Quran) program for 2,000 students.
Learning transformation, he said, is important to be implemented, especially related to strengthening character education.
Head of Education Office Muhammad Anhar said that learning transformation by using app is to increase students' interest in learning as well as a companion media for ustaz in teaching activities.
“We want to encourage and improve students' abilities in reciting and learning Al Quran, one of which is through digitalization to be easily accessed by children,” said Anhar.
Chairman of MUI HST Ustaz Muhammad Khairuddin said that his party really appreciates the support of HST government's program in improving the quality of learning Al Quran.
