The South Hulu Sungai (HSS), South Kalimantan, Family Welfare Empowerment Driving Team (TP-PKK) planted hundreds of chili seeds to mark the 52th PKK Movement Unity Day (HKG-PKK).
It was carried out for the success of simultaneous planting throughout Indonesia which was virtually led by First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo and Second Lady Wury Ma'ruf Amin from Bogor, West Java, and attended by HSS TP-PKK in their HSS PKK Park on Jalan Mawar, Kandangan Utara Urban Village.
"Today we plant 300 seeds of chili, hopefully our efforts will provide good results and be followed by all sub-districts," said acting Chairwoman of HSS TP PKK Rusnawati Hermansyah, Monday.
She also informed that TP-PKK synergized with HSS Agriculture Office and continued to appeal to the people in the district to take part in the movement by planting chili in their respective yards.
People were suggested to use their yard land to plant chili, the results will be consumed by themselves, or also to increase income for the family.
“Come on, take advantage of your yard by planting chilies, so you can increase your family income,” she invited.
In this movement activity, the Agriculture Office provided 300 chili seeds for planting carried out by TP PKK.
The actvity was attended by Head of HSS Agriculture Office Muhammad Noor, Head of Kandangan Utara Urban Village, the board of TP PKK of HSS and chairpersons of TP-PKK of all sub-districts in HSS.
