Kandangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Chief of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Police AKBP Sukendar Eka Ristyan Putra on behalf of South Kalimantan Police chief handed over a compensation to the family of victim shot by a member of Brimob.


The Rp200 million compensation was handed over to the family in the office of West Daha Sub-district head, Wednesday (12/10) at 15:30 pm.

Earlier, on Monday (10/10), a villager was shot dead by a Brimob member in conversion forest of Bajayau Village, West Daha.

Muhlis, the victim, left a wife, Mahmudah, and two children. The first child 13 years old and the second two months old.

The meeting which was facilitated by Head of West Daha Sub-district Kusairi attended by both parties. Namely the HSS Police Chief representative of South Kalimantan Police Chief and the victim's wife.

Sub-district Head Kusairi explained there were some agreements reached from the meeting, among others, the first party on behalf of the South Kalimantan Chief of Police provided compensation to the victims Rp200 million.

The second agreement, to the education of the victim child will be given a scholarship by PT SAM up to senior high school level or equivalent.

Third, the Brimob members who did the shooting remained processed in accordance with applicable law. Fourth, after the agreement is signed, then in the future no claims whatsoever from the victim's family either to the police or PT SAM.

A letter of agreement signed by both parties. The first party by the Chief of HSS police and the second by the victim's wife witnessed by Kusairi as West Daha Sub-district Head, ABajayau Village chief Asyurani and Iwan representative of PT SAM.
